About Jaime
Jaime Lynn Henderson is a Chicago-based artist who works joyfully out of her Roscoe Village studio with her mini goldendoodle, Henry. She received her BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Oklahoma in 2007 and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009. After a few years exhibiting her work and enjoying a studio residency with the Chicago Artists' Coalition, Jaime shifted gears to focus on a career in the Arts & Entertainment Industry as a TV & Film agent followed by her current career in Affordable Housing Finance. She was delighted to return to her love of art-making while spending the pandemic with family in the beautiful Virginia countryside. She returned to Chicago to continue creating and showing her work in May, 2022. Some fine folks from Split by Design created the below mini documentary about her work back in her reality show days on Season 1 of Bravo's "Work of Art" and though it is over 8 years old, the sentiments and passion remain the same. You can also scroll further to read her recent interview with Warrenton Lifestyle Magazine featured in their January, 2021 issue! Side note: if you want to watch Jaime's exit interview from "Work of Art" where she sounds extremely tired and barely coherent because it was filmed at 3am, enjoy!
